After being awarded the Creative Teacher Grant, the Special Education Department at Fremont High School purchased handheld clickers (Mimiovote) devices for use in the classroom.  The students like to use the clickers because it is something different and new from what they have had in the past and it promotes active learning for all students.

The clickers can be used in multiple different ways; tests, quizzes, whole group review games, exit activities, and more.  The tests can either be student self paced or teacher paced.  It is nice to be able to have these options because some students may need some extra time to complete the assignment/test and this allows for that.

The data is simple to get off of the software that we downloaded.  Individual student scores can be seen along with group scores and averages.  Graphs can also be compiled for more data to make decisions on what students need to work on and what they are excelling in.
